ABOUT LUMINA DAVINA
Lumina Divina considers light as both physical phenomenon and spiritual presence. Across the series, gesture moves through fields of color as if through atmosphere or space, suggesting expansion, orbit, dissolution, and return. The paintings draw on ideas of the infinite—the cosmos, the unseen, and the possibility that divinity can be sensed through color, movement, and luminosity rather than represented directly.
A feminine presence runs through the work as a form of force rather than figure: expansive, generative, and persistent even within vast spatial fields. In works such as The River, Cadentia, and Shadow Ring I, gesture becomes a way of holding intimacy and immensity at once, allowing the bodily and the celestial to occupy the same space.
Selected works from Lumina Divina were presented at Nasdaq headquarters in Times Square, New York, in 2024.
